Question 1

How do online sessions work?

Accepted Answer

Sessions run live over video with a shared digital whiteboard, so we can write mechanisms, work equations, and mark up problems together in real time. You'll get a link before each session — no software to install beyond a browser.

Question 2

What do I need for a session?

Accepted Answer

A stable internet connection, a device with a microphone, and whatever you're working from: textbook, problem set, lecture notes, or an upcoming exam's review sheet. Sending material ahead of time lets the session start on the real problem instead of on setup.

Question 3

Which subjects and levels are covered?

Accepted Answer

High School Chemistry, AP Chemistry, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and university-level coursework. Specialty depth is strongest in organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and organic synthesis.

Question 4

How long is a session?

Accepted Answer

Most sessions run about an hour, which is usually the right window for focused problem work. Longer intensive review blocks can be arranged before major exams.

Question 5

How does scheduling work?

Accepted Answer

Pick a package, then book a time that fits your week. Recurring weekly slots are available and recommended for students who want steady support rather than occasional help.

Question 6

How much does tutoring cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on the package you choose. The rates shown on the Packages page are illustrative placeholders while final pricing is confirmed — reach out through the contact form for current rates.

Question 7

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge. Later changes and missed sessions may be charged, since the time was reserved for you. Full details are on the Cancellation Policy page.

Question 8

Can parents be involved?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Parents are welcome to reach out, discuss goals, and receive progress summaries. Sessions themselves work best when the student can ask questions freely.

Question 9

Do you guarantee a grade improvement?

Accepted Answer

No — and no honest tutor should. Tutoring provides instruction, structure, and practice; results also depend on the student's own work. What sessions consistently build is understanding, problem-solving ability, and confidence.

Question 10

Do you help with homework or take-home exams?

Accepted Answer

Homework is fair game as teaching material — working through it is often the best way to find what isn't clicking. Completing graded assessments on a student's behalf is not something this service does.
